About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Stay Duration Ending Soon

I have been coming to China for 15 plus years for business and recently got married in Nanjing (June 3rd 2016). Before I arrived for this trip I received my new 10 year visa with multiple entries with a 60 day stay each trip (dont know why when I always used to get 180 day stays). I am now nearly the 60th day of this stay and in Nanjing area with my new wife.

Must I leave the country and return or is there another way without having to travel all the way to HK?

Appreciate any assistance you can give.

Hi Robert! Because this time you get a 10-year M type, it's normal that each stay duration is only 60 days. If you want to continue to use this M type, you can extend the stay duration before the 60 days run out at the local PSB and you may get another 60-day stay duration. When the extension ends, you still need to exit. If you want to save future troubles, you can go to HK to apply for a Q1 type, which will allow you to stay in China for a rather long time without the need to leave every now and then, however, I'm not sure whether you can condcut business on this Q type.
