Is express service necessary for same day Z visa?

I'm waiting for my invitation to get my Z type to work in PRC. I live several hours away from the Chinese embassy in Bangkok. Do I need use express service to get the Z type the same day I apply? I'd really rather not make two trips. Thank you.

Usually, the application process takes 4 working days. But if you choose the urgent service, the processing time will be 1 working day. If you don’t want to make twp trips, you can apply for the same-day service.
