I've never heard of this kind of thing. But in Chinese, the pronunciation of 4 is just like the work 'death'. So, some Chinese people think 4 is unlucky.2

As Zhao said that 4 has the sanme pronunciation of "deach", so sometimes people think that the number 141 means "going to die" or something. Some senior people would even avoid using the number, because they want everything to be lucky and auspicious.0
