i have a cousin work in china, he wants me to go there and visit them.

I'm gonna stay in their apartment. how long can i stay and what type of permit can i possibly get? what are the requirements?

Melanie, you can apply for a tourist L type to go there. Usually, an L type may allow you to stay there for 30 days.
The required documents contain your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, an invitation letter from your cousin and your financial support proof.
