About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Is this unrealistic? 7 hours between landing n departing at PVG

We arrive into airport (from Frankfurt, Germany) on Lufthansa at 14.50 and then depart at 22.10 on Air New Zealand (terminal 2) , once we arrive to your airport, can we check our luggage thru to NZ and maybe have 3 or 4 hours for sightseeing ? Or will this be pushing it time wise?

Hi, you can surely achieve the luggage check-through service and it can be handled at ur departing place. Then it will save the trouble of reclaiming luggage at PVG. Upon landing, just go to the immigration counter to apply for a stay permit, with which you will be allowed to go to downtown for a short trip.

For your limited time, you can take the Maglev + subway to East Nanjing Road. Then roam around the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund, where you can see the Huangpu River, Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Jin Mao Tower. For return, do arrive at the airport at least 1.5h in advance to catch the onward flight.
