About visa for Shanghai

Dear Sirs,

Greetings,,,

I would like to enquire s to visa requirements as i am planning a trip to Macao via Shanghai , and as there is no direct flight to/from my country of origin UAE it i am obligated to return via connecting flight from Shanghai .. Therefore .. Does my "single-entry" visa make me eligible ,within certin amount of time, to re-enter Shanghai on my return.

Or must i opt for a multi-entry visa for this return trip ..

Awaiting your kind response ..

Ali, if your layovers in Shanghai are not more than 24 hours on both ways, you don't need the transit visa for Shanghai. If one layover is longer than 24 hours, you need a single entry visa. If both are longer than 24 hours, you need a double-entry visa. This visa is different from the one for Macau.
