About:China Transit Visa

Srilankan passport transitting to Beijing for 17 hours

Am travelling to Sri lanka from New zealand through beiging air port on my srilankan passport. On my return flight I will have a stop over in China for 17 hours layover before departing to New Zealand. Am I allowed to leave the airport to do some sightseeing?

Yes, if you can get a temporary stay permit at the airport, you are allowed to go outside for sightseeing.
