About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

twice in 1 week entering Shanghai

Passenger flying from Brussels entering Shanghai on Sunday, leaving for Taiwan on Monday evening and back to Shanghai on that same week Thursday. Then leaving to Belgium via Munich on that Thursday evening. Normally he'd need a double entry visa, but can he also enjoy the 72 h free transit twice?
Thanks.

For the flight Brussel - Shanghai - Taiwan you can enjoy the 144h twov.
For the return flight Taiwan - Shanghai - Munich you are fine with the 24h free transit.
In both cases there´s no need to apply for an entry permit.
