About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Best Octopus Card: I am visiting hong kong for week in November.

I intend to use the MTR and buses and trams a lot, mainly around the Kowloon Bay/HK Island areas. Is the Sold Card the best option? And are there any bus routes that do not take the card?
Thanks you.
John

Actually, on-loan standard octopus card is a perfect choice for you, especially the Standard Type. The card is valid for 3 years. You need to pay HKD 50 as the refundable deposit and HKD 100 as the initial stored value. As I know, you can use it to ride on most buses, MTR, Light Rail, trams, ferries, taxis with octopus readers, and even go shopping. Have a try! :)
