Are there any areas of China that foreigners are not allowed to go to?

As I know, military bases and regions along frontier borders are not opened to foreigners.
In addition, foreigners need to join a group tour and get a travel permit approved by Tibet Tourism Administration. Then they are allowed to visit there.
