About:Xian Bus/Metro Search Tool

Xian: to Luoyang (1 day trip); to Xixia (1 day trip)

I will be travelling from XA to Luoyang and return on the same day, without staying at any Luoyang hotel. I would like to visit Longmen Grottoes, White Horse Temple and Shaolin Temple within a day. Please advise the sequence of the place that I should visit so that I can cover all within a day.

Please advise whether is it possible to travel from XA to Xixia to visit the Stone Gate Lake, Dragon Pool Valley Natural Reserve and Laojie Ridge Natural Reserve within a day. I would like to return to XA on the same day. Please advise how should I hire a car to travel around these places in Xixia.

To be honest, you cannot cover the three within one day. You are advised to skip White Horse Temple. You may take bullet train to Luoyang Longmen Railway Station from North Railway Station (about 1.5 to 2 hours). Upon arrival, take a taxi to Longmen Grottoes for about CNY15. After touring around, take a direct bus to Shaolin Temple. The buses are scheduled at 10:00, 11:00, 13:30, and 14:30. The trip takes about 1.5 hours. The fare is CNY 130, including the admission fee of the temple. Perhaps you need to stay overnight near the temple for the pressed time.

I am afraid that the time is too limited to cover the sites in Xixia. You are advised to spare at least two or three days for that. As I know, China Auto Rental Company provides car rental service. Try to search for their service online.
