Multiple power adapter

When I went to Russia I had a power converter and adapter plugs. You talk about a transformer. Is that the same thing as the power converter?
Since everything needs to be charged these days, it has been recommended that we purchase a multi-plug-in extender that would plug into the converter. Would there be any problems with that much power draw if everything was plugged in at the same time?

The transformer mentioned on this page should be the same thing as your power converter. It should be safe and convenient to use the multi-plug-in extender. No worry!
