We do not want to climb the mountain so thought we would go to Changping Valley. How would we get there from Chengdu? Also what should we take with us? I heard that you can go horse riding in Changping Valley, is that right?Thank-you!!

Changping Valley is stunning. You can get there on horseback which is arranged by the park authorities. However the long ride left our bums very sore.. On the way back we chose to walk the 7 km boardwalk trail which was honestly a drag. if you have the time I would recommend camping overnight Your hotel can probably help you arrange this.

You can buy the ticket of CNY 70 at the entrance upon arrival. To the valley, you can take a bus to Xiaojin from Chadianzi Bus Station at 6:30. The trip takes 6 to 7 hours, and the fare is about CNY 160 per person. Upon arrival, take a van to the mountain for about CNY20. Have fun! :)
