Arriving and leaving from different terminals in Shanghai

Do I have to depart from the same terminal in Shanghai as the one I arrive in? Is it okay to arrive at Terminal 1 in Shanghai and then depart from Terminal 2?

Kex, you don’t have to leave from the same terminal. You can arrive at one terminal, and leave from another.
