About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Authentication of a document by the Chinese Embassy.

My Company is located in South Carolina, and I have a document that needs to be authenticated by the Chinese Embassy. How do I get this document authenticated and what are the fees?

Thank you

Alester, you should first get the document notarized by the local notary public, and then get it authenticated by the county clerk (it is required by some states) and Secretary of State. Afterwards, go to the embassy of PRC to get the document attested. It costs USD 50 for commercial document attestation.

Thank you. The document has already been authenticated by the SC Secretary of State, and the U.S. State Department. I need to know what Chinese Embassy do I use (I'm in South Carolina) and is there a site online to get forms needed?
