About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

We are finishing a China cruise ship tour and will be in Shanghai overnight.

The next day our flight leaves for USA at 4:00pm. Could we take our bags to Pudong airport early morning and check them in then get transport back in to downtown to enjoy the city for a half day? What would you suggest we see? We will have seen Old SH and the Yuyuan Gardens and The Bund.

Well, first of all, you need to arrive at the airport 2 hours in advane. If you go PVG in the early morning and then go back to downtown area, you won't have enough time to tour around.
Thus you are advised to storage the luggage at the front desk of your hotel. And after touring around, just go back to the hotel and catch the flight directly.
By the way, a half day is a little bit tight to visit Yuyuan Garden and the Bund. You can just choose one of them.
