About:Lugu Lake

Is there a bus service from Lugu Lake to Yading nature reserve?

Since Oct 2011, provincial of Yunyang announces a highway be built joining both villages instead of going back to Xichang from the lake enroute to Daocheng? Has the highway completed?

As I know, the highway has completed. As a result, sports utility vehicles can drive on the road if the weather is favorable, and it takes about 6 hours to go between the two attractions. But no bus is available as of today. You may take a bus from the lake to Lijiang first (about 5 hours). Next, change to a bus to Shangri-la (about 4 hours). Then, take a bus to Daocheng (about 11 hours). Afterwards, charter a car to Yading for about CNY 200. :)
