re : landing visa with us passport

Question

Can I obtain landing VOA at Guangzhou airport ( Baiyun airport ) . How long this VOA last and can it be double entry .I plan to go to Guangzhou for two days then I will go to Vietnam for four days before I come back to Guangzhou again for 4 days . Can I use VOA for both entry .Thank you very much for your help Jacob

Jacob, as far as I know, US passport holders cannot get VOA in PRC. Based on your travel plan, you can use the 72 hour free transit for your first entry to Guangzhou. As for your second entry, you need to apply for a tourist L type beforehand. If you can limit the stay duration to 72 hours, you can use the free transit policy again.
