Possible Rejection of Residence Permit

My employer had control of my passport and applied 2 days late for my resident permit.

Since then I've had to do interviews with police and immigration has had my passport for three weeks, with no updates. I do know they interviewed the employer, but am not privy to what was said.

I need to find out what happens in the worst case scenario of actually being rejected so that I can prepare for emergency.

David, as long as your employer submits the application for the residence permit within 30 days after your entry, you can get it in the end. And usually, the process takes 15 working days. There is no need to worry! You should have faith in your employer.
