About:How to Apply for a China Visa

information about Q2 visa

Hi,My name is Arslan Arif and i have married with a chinese girl. Meanwhile we are staying in Pakistan. i applied for Q type entry permit in pakistan and embassy gave me Q2 for 3 months.Can i extend my Q2 after i go to china? Because i have a plan to stay more long time there..Thank you

Yes, it's possible to extend your Q2 after you enter China. You can do this at the local exit and entry administration office by presenting your passport, application form, recent bare-headed photo, marriage certificate and your wife's ID card. However, based on my knowledge, you can only extend the Q2 twice. If you want to stay longer, you can see whether the Q2 type can be converted to Q1 without leaving China.
