Spouse visa for PRC with Australian passport

I am holding an Australian passport but will be in Denmark shortly. My Danish spouse and I are moving to PRC for his work for the next 2 years. Can I apply for the spouse type at the Chinese embassy in Denmark? I do not have a permanent address in Denmark. Would this be an issue? How long can I expect for the turnaround for the application?
