changing visa from q to x

Question

Hi, my husband is student here in china and i have relative family Q type, as i got admission and want to start as a student from september, i want to know for changing from Family(Q) to (X) do i need to  leave PRC and come back again? or i can change it with showing the admission letter of university to office?

Actually, it’s possible for you to change Q type to X type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB without leaving PRC.
