How to know the status of my passport renewal

I submitted my passport renewal in Houston Chinese embassy in May 5? How to check the progress ? Can I emai to Visahouston@hotmail.com?

If you renew HK passport, it usually takes 4- 8 weeks. So just wait patiently.
Or you can contact with HK immigration department and ask for the process. Tel: (852) 2824 6111

My application was submitted on May 5. I need my passport to travel on June 21. It is about 6 weeks and 5 days. Do you think that I am ok?
