We are going to travel through shanghai/Suzhou/Xian/Piangyo/Beijing. we have a rather large suitcase with us that we don't need during our trip. Is it possible that we freight this suitcase from Shanghai to Beijing on 17th June, and collect it in Beijing on 24th June? Please advice us, what is the best way to avoid carrying our suitcase during our trip and just send it straight from shanghai to Beijing, and collect it from Beijing (preferably from train station or any other place) once we got there.

Maybe you can arrange it as package delivery via the China Railway Express company and collect it at the station or appointed local office. I heard they keep the package for free for 3 days and if more than that, you need to pay some extra fee like around CNY10 or 20 a day.
