About:China Customs Declaration

Total value limitation: Any item that will be left in China whose value exceeds 2,000 CNY

I assume that this refers to any single item. Is there a limitation for total value of items that are to be left in China, for example five different items of $100 each, then should I declare two of them?

As I know, passengers should declare the items when the total value of them exceeds CNY2,000.
In your case, you should declare all of them at the customs.
