About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Do I need a China visa? 21 days total trip round trip

I am a New Zealander.
I am leaving Australia on the 1st of December arriving in Hong Kong on the 2nd December.
On the 5th December I fly to Beijing from Hong Kong and then travel by land down to Shanghai.
I then leave Shanghai on the 22nd December back to Australia.

Would I need a visa and is so what type, number of entries. (based on 15 day visa free for New Zelanders)
Is Hong Kong visa separate or part of China visa.

You need a tourist visa with single entry for the 21-day trip and Hong Kong visa is separate from Mainland China.
