144 hour visa waiver

Question

I will be taking the train Z99 from Hong Kong to Shanghai and flying out to either Saigon or Phnom Penh within the six day period.  Wll also train to Wuxi for a day trip.  Is this all okay?

If you get through the immigration counter in Shanghai instead of Guangzhou, you are fine with the 144h free transit. During the six-day period, you are allowed to take a train to Wuxi for a day trip.
