About:Chinese Embassy in Hungary

American citizen living in Romania

Hello, I am an American living in Western Romania. My family and I would like to visit PRC in August. Budapest is much closer for us than Bucharest. In attempting to call the Budapest Consular office I get no answer. My question is can I request and receive a visa for all the members of my family in one or two days? I need to keep my passport with me to re-enter Romania. Thank you!

Hello there! It provides the express service (2 working days) or rush service (one working day) at the embassy of PRC in Hungary, but if you don’t have valid entry permit to Hungary, I’m afraid you cannot apply for it from Budapest.
Besides, you can also request the express service (2-3 working days) or rush service (one working day) when you apply for it in Romania.

Thank you, Kevin. I have a residency permit for Romania, but you're saying that that may not be enough for applying from the PRC embassy in Budapest?

If you want to apply for it in Budapest, you need to provide valid visa of Hungary.
