Will it be enough time to make a trip to Shanghai downtown by Maglev Train?

Well, I'm afraid not. You don't have enough time to visit downtown area even if you take the express train. Generally speaking, you need to go back to the airport and wait for the next plane 2 hours in advance. Thus due to this limited layover, you are suggested to stay at the airport. :)

Oh, your time is so limited. Don't take the risk of touring the downtown. However, personally the SMT is worth a try. Imagine how fast the train is! For 30km, it only takes 8min for a single journey. Why not experience it during your limited layover? Anyway, just make up your own mind!

Thanks Vivian & Olina. I am only trying to experience the express train and not visit downtown. I will see once I am at airport and decide depending on the time available.
