About:Hong Kong International Airport

Is HKIA a relatively easy airport to navigate and transfer? Or is this crazy?

Hi - I am sending my 17 year old son from Singapore back to the USA, and the flight I am looking at (United Airlines) connects through HKIA with 1 hr 45 minutes.
Will he have to go through security or customs to connect to his second flight?
He only speaks english and I don't want to overwhelm him - he will have checked his bag through.

HKIA is relatively easy to nativate and transfer for your son. There are many English guiding signs for his convenience.

Your son will travel with United Airlines all the way, and he will have checked in in Singapore, right? He needn't go through customs. Here are the procedures: Flight Arrival- Follow the transfer sign to nearest transfer point- Go through security screening- Check his departures flight information and boarding at departure level- Arrive at the boarding gate 30 minutes before departures time. He can make the transit smoothly. Don't worry! :)

HKIA is VERY easy. It's big, but very clearly laid out. All important signage are in English. If he can handle Singapore Airport, he'll have no issues whatsoever.
