Do I have time for train from Beijing to Xian if I have only 7 or 8 days? Are these two cities close or far and do you think is it worth to go to XA or you prefer another city?

Yes. It takes around 5.5 to 6 hours for the high speed train journey. For the first time travellers, Xian is a good place to visit. You can stay at this city for two or more days to visit the famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses, ancient City Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Muslim Street, Shaanxi History Museum, etc. They are all popular sightseeing places worth your exploration.
