How to take interchanges between trains ?

Hi guys. I'm going from Hung Hom Station to Sunny Bay Station. I knew the route but how to change the interchanging trains ? Will the next train will be there when I'm out from the current train or should I walk through ?

You need to walk through to the other platform to get onboard to another train.
