How to get Chinese Visa for a Non-Dependent Person, not from the Immediate Family

Dear Ma'am/Sir,
I have got a research faculty position in a national university of China (the position is for 3 years). I have a small daughter (5 years old) who needs somebody to take care of her in my absence. I have a distant relative (a girl, above 22 years) who has taken care of her since her birth. Hence, my daughter is more attached to her, but she is not from my immediate family. I hope you understand how important it is to leave your child in a safe and trustworthy custody when you are away for work. Therefore, I want to know is there any way that she also an get an entry permit for PRC along with us when I join there, if yes for how long can she stay there on that entry permit. Kindly provide information and help me.

Namta, based on what I know, you cannot apply for an S1 type for her, but you can try to apply for an S2 type for here and actually, it’s not easy to get either. Anyway, it’s worth a try! The S2 type may allow her to stay for no more than 180 days in PRC.
