Hong Kong to Wuhan

Hello. If I fly from Hong Kong to Wuhan in and out with an Italian passport (no Visa required in Hong Kong), can I get a 72-hour free transit to visit Wuhan? Thanks

Piero, you mean after your stay in Wuhan, you will fly back to HK? If yes, you cannot get the 72 hour free transit in Wuhan because according to the 72 hour policy, you should fly to a third country or region after you transit in a Chinese city.

Thanks Douglas.

Yes I mean that I fly back to Hong Kong. I understood that Hong Kong and Macau are considered as a third Country or region so I thought it was possible.

Piero, HK is regarded as a third region when speaking of the 72 hour policy, but because you fly to Wuhan from HK, and after staying in Wuhan, you will fly back to HK. It means you fly back to the region you just departed, so you cannot enjoy the free transit. But if you fly to Macau after stopping in Wuhan, you can use the free transit.
