About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Travel from Auckland to Shanghai

Hi, I am holding a New Zealand passport and I am also holding a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents as well. I plan to travel from Auckland to Shanghai, do I need to apply a China Visa for my visit? Or can I use my Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents to enter upon arriving Shanghai?

Since my flight to Shanghai will be from Auckland directly, can I use my NZ passport to exit Auckland but enter Shanghai using my mainland travel permit?
