About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Does the transit visa apply?

Im flying from mexico to Shanghai. Then in the same day I'm flying to Mongolia with a stop in Beijing. Does the 72 hour rule work?

Daniel, since you will stop in two Chinese cities, you are not eligible for the 72-hour free transit policy. However, if your total stopover time is not more than 24 hours, you may use the 24-hour direct transit rule so that the entry permit is not required.
