About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is Hong Kong a valid 3rd country destination

Hi, I intend to travel from Singapore to Xiamen, then within 72 hours to Hong Kong and then back to Singapore. The tickets are reserved independently from each other. Does Hong Kong qualify as a 3rd country after Xiamen or is it considered mainland PRC?

Matthieu, considering your situation, you qualify for the 72 hour free transit in Xiamen. When speaking of the 72 hour policy, Hong Kong is regarded as a third region.
