what is the transit process like in t1 of pudong airport?

I don't need a visa and I'm hanging around for about 4hrs. Singapore>Shanghai followed by SH >Jeju. The above information seems to apply to T2 only?

Yes, the above information is applicable to T2. If you have through checked in, you need to confirm the onward boarding pass, and accept Quarantine, Immigration, and Security Check. Then, go to international concourse to wait for boarding. If not, you need to accept Joint Inspection, Quarantine, and Immigration. Next, claim your luggage, and check in again. Then, go to 3F to wait and board. By the way, there are clear English guiding signs at PVG for your convenience. Don't worry! :)
