visa issue, it has expired, what should I do?

hi. last year, i gave my agent money to extend visa for me as usual. when i asked for my passport, he sent me a copy telling me that the school can't release my passport. i have been having that copy for the last few months and when i insisted on going to school to get my passport if he doesn't give me, he sent it to me only to find out that he just used the money for himself and never extended my visa. am so confused on what to do because this means my visa is already expired. but i had no idea...please advise on what am supposed to do.

Leen, it means that you have overstayed in PRC for several months, so you cannot apply for an extension or stay in PRC anymore. You should report your situation to the local PSB as soon as possible. And then you need to pay the fine CNY 500 per day, and the total amount won’t be more than CNY 10,000. After that, you need to apply for an exit pass to exit and go back to your home country.

Leen, you should apply for the exit pass at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB.
