planning travel to shanghai to hk on mid december

I'm planning to travel to HK on Mid December. I would like to know how shall i travel to  there and do they need any documentation as I'm a Singaporean? how long is the journey from Shanghai to HK? How shall i purchase a ticket?

The direct ride Z99 need about 19 hours on the way to HK. As I Know, HK has the visa free policy to many countries including Singapore (should be 90 days). You can check in details if you need to hold the flight ticket out from Singapore in advance etc. For the rail ticket, it would be better to buy it in advance from a online booking agent like this website to avoid the ticket sold out when the date is approaching.
