I'm not sure if I should take the bus (Line 13) or take the Airport Express Train and then connect to the subway. Which way do you think will be faster?

Airport Express + Subway is more recommended for the sake of convenience and time-saving. It takes around 40min in total. And you should get off Dengshikou station.
