mongolian need visa to shanghainot?

Hello, i am currently studying in Europe and i am going to Shanghai Tongji University for a Workshop for 10 days, and i would like to ask if i need to apply for a visa ? Because normally Mongolians do not need a visa for short term stay in China right? Or do i have to get one? Please answer as soon as possible because we will be travelling very soon

Uyanda, if you hold an ordinary passport, you need to get an F type in advance. An invitation letter from the university will be required. If you are in an emergency, you can apply for the express service.

No, i hold an E-Passport and usually Mongolians don't have to get an entry permit, and are able to travel in PRC for 30 days without entry permit. Would only an invitation letter be sufficient? I have never heard Mongolian people with an E-Passport needing a Visa to travel to PRC?
