Lesly, if you go to PRC for tourism purpose, you can apply for a tourist L type beforehand. You mean your boyfriend is in PRC, right? If yes, you can ask him to issue an invitation letter to you.
You should first prepare those materials including your passport and its photocopy, the application form with a passport-style photo attached, proof of your financial support, and the invitation letter from your boyfriend, next, submit your application to the embassy of PRC to apply for it.
