If the amount is less than USD10,000, you should apply for the permit for carrying large amount of foreign exchange at the bank before you go abroad; if it is more than USD10,000, you should get the permit approved by Foreign Exchange Administration.
At the customs, you should fill in the declaration form and handle the notes to go through some check.1
