Hello, i am traveling from LAX to Guangzhou to Vietnam. Do i need any special paperwork to enter?

Well, if you only transit in Guangzhou airport and you don't plan to go to places out of Guangdong Province, you can enjoy the 72-hour free transit. No special paperwork is needed.
