accommodations & buses in cities/towns around southern xinjiang

Question

I will be travelling to Kuqa, Hotan, Kashgar & Tashkorgan in 3rd week May to mid June this year.1) Accommodationsa) Is it possible to just walk-in rather than book online for all the above cities during the said travelling period?b) I am a foreigner but speak & write Chinese, will that make it easier?2) BusesIf I am not wrong, there is a sleeper bus from Kuqa to Hotan. a) Do you think it is ok for me to buy tickets a day or two before my travel date?b) What time the bus leave Kuqa & how long is the travelling time?Thanks

1). Yes, you can walk in and check in then. By the way, the peak tourist season lasts from July to September. Yes, it helps a lot if you can speak and write Chinese. :)2). Yes, you can take a sleeper bus from Kuqa to Hotan. You can book the ticket then.The trip may take around 8 hours. But sorry, I didn't find the bus schedule. Or, you can take a train to Hotan from Kuqa. The train departs at 22:10, and the trip takes about 15 hours.Just choose the way you like.
