About:China Customs Declaration

Question on "animal products".

I will be traveling to China and would like to bring some American store-purchased "protein snack sticks" --- individually wrapped beef sticks. Would those be considered "animal products"? If so, should I declare them? Do you think that they would get impounded/seized by the Customs officers? Thanks you for your help!

Hello, of course it is considered as animal products. But as I know, any meat is not allowed in, so you'd better not take the beef stick.
