George, you can send her an invitation letter so that she dosen't need to submit hotel reservations. A copy of your passport and China residence permit may be required as well. As she will come as a tourist, she doesn't need a medical checkup. The stay duration can range from 14 days to three months, but I tihnk she's most likely to get a 30-day stay duration.

Thank you very much. I just learned today about the need for a bank statement.. Is this necessary since I will be the one financing everything?

George, if it's the first time she goes to China, a bank statement is needed. I don't know whether your bank statement can be used instead of hers. You can have a try if she can't provide a bank statement of herself.
