About:China Family Reunion Visa

Apply while in China

I'm currently in PRC on a work visa but will leave my job soon. I'm married to a Chinese national and want to apply for the Q1 while still in PRC. Where do I go to apply? Do I have to go all the way back to America to apply? Thanks!

You can try to convert your current work Z type to Q1 type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB. If it can be done there, you don’t need to go back to America to apply; otherwise, you need to go back to apply for it.
