Traveling from Finland to Shanghai with Russian and Finnish passprts

Dear recipient,

I am planning to travel to Shanghai in July from Helsinki, Finland. I have both Finnish and Russian passports, but planning to make a visa by using Russian passport. My travel duration is going to be 2 maximum 3 weeks. Is it okay to travel to China with Russian passport, where I will have visa, even though I will travel from Finland. I'm not sure if this question should be asked here or from local police or airport instead. But I hope you can help with this matter, s I can proceed with documents soon

Kind Regards,
Victoria

I think as long as the flight ticket, passport and visa can match, it do not matters where you fly from. But the problem is where will you apply for the visa? I think if you are in Finland, you cannot use Russian passport for the application.
